sundrythings: Python with a very bad burn from a hot rock. this is what happened when people are not monitoring their animals, and not regulating their temperatures. reptiles can not feel that they have been burned until an injury like this has occurred. their skin is so thick they have no idea they’re burning it. be very careful about heat rocks and mats in your reptile’s enclosure. every reptile i have owned, and they’ve had a heat rock, each one has burnt themselves [so at my house, heat rocks are no longer used] PLEASE BE CAREFUL
